WDG Member profile, Ian Butler

The Web Design Group's Webmaster, Ian has administrated the HTMLHelp site from its early days. He started playing with html when the first beta of Mosaic for the Mac appeared, and has worked as a freelance consultant in New York City for a number of years.

He is a partner at Martin West Media Design, a web design company in Brooklyn, NY, and is acting webmaster for The Hub, a joint venture between Newline Cinema and America Online.

The HTMLHelp site is currently running on a Macintosh Quadra with a 1GB Atlas drive, 36MB RAM and running a BSD 4.3 Unix OS from Tenon Intersystems called MachTen. The webserver is the wonderful Apache 1.1.1.
